This resource was developed under the Meeting Workplace Skill Needs project. It is a self-directed resource in paper-format. . It incorporates several promising practices from previous programs and is intended to help participants become more self-empowered in managing their career-life path. My Career GPS guides individuals to assess their current life and work paths, notably their personal characteristics, values and career aspirations in order to identify personal projects they wish to undertake, such projects including but not restricted to skills development. My GPS contains seven sections and the average time taken by individuals to complete this intervention is between 12 to 20 hours. Discussions about its development as a web-based tool are currently underway.
